For a first time home buyer and someone that worries about things even when there is nothing to worry about, my mind was always at ease working with Mario. Any questions I had were answered in a matter of minutes. Honestly, in the two years working with Mario to find the perfect place for me I never waited any longer than 5 minutes for a response to an email or a phone call, it’s bizarre really! I would highly recommend Mario as a realtor when buying a home. He was always on top of everything to make sure that you are comfortable with the process and always listened to me as the buyer and what I am looking for. I have heard horror stories from friends where their realtor was pushy or unresponsive but not him. We looked through at least 20 homes with him, but he always wanted our feedback so that as we kept looking at different homes, he would make sure that things that annoyed us were not in future homes we looked at! The best part is that for us, having to work during the day, it was great that he tried to arrange the showings during the time we were available, which was either during evenings or weekends.

Mario was wonderful! I can't say enough good things about him. He was very patience with us through out the whole process. We looked at about maybe 20 houses over a 7-8 months period. He definitely went above and beyond what a traditional real estate agent would. If we ever decide to buy and sell another house, we will hire him again as our agent no doubt.

Mario is prompt and always responds to your calls. He does take his time and with me being a first time buyer I was looking at a lot of homes. He never made me feel I was wasting his time. He is very diligent and looks over a property very carefully almost as if he is the buyer.

The first time I contacted Mario Barrios to request his services, he was very friendly and very professional, he asked me several questions of what we were looking for in terms of location, price, type of housing, etc. Right after the phone conversation, I started receiving information of properties in the areas that we had discussed. We visited the properties we were interested in during the weekends and sometimes during the week after work. Mario was very accommodating with his time, we even visited a few properties twice and he was fine with doing that. Very responsive and professional, we looked for a long time until we found what we wanted. He always had a positive attitude and was very enthusiastic even when we were getting tired of looking, especially in the winter time. I highly recommend Mario Barrios as your agent of choice.

If we could give more stars we would! Mario assisted us in purchasing a foreclosed home. Not only did he help us negotiate the price even lower but the appraisal came in $70,000 more than what we paid for the home! Mario put as at ease as this was the first home we have purchased that was a foreclosure. His attention to detail is impeccable and he always made himself available by phone or email. Mario has excellent communication skills and you really feel like he is the only one working for you. Starting the house hunting experience can be overwhelming, but Mario exudes a sense of calm and ease that helps a new buyer acclimate quickly. Mario is also probably the most responsive real estate agent in the city of Chicago. He responds to messages in minutes - not hours. When I expressed my appreciation for his attentiveness to set up our first showing, he responded by saying: "That's how things get done" - and I knew I had found a guy who was committed to putting me in a house and knew how to do it.

Where do I begin? Mario was everything a client could ever ask for! No kidding! I had worked with several other real estate agents in the past and ALL fell short of my expectations. From day 1, Mario was GREAT to work with. I did not know Mario prior to meeting him - I found him randomly through Trulia for the condo I was interested in seeing. As first time home buyers, we don't have another experience to compare with. But, we couldn't possibly imagine another agents services comparing to those of Mario. It was impeccable. He worked tirelessly with us, showing us house after house, for over a year until we found the perfect fit. Not once did he make us feel like a difficult customer, even though we carted all four of our kids to most of the showings. Mario is very knowledgeable in every step of the process in buying a home. He is well connected to a variety of lenders, home inspectors and attorneys, which covered a lot of the leg work for us, making the whole process that much easier on us.
